Corporate social responsibility at Jupiter Wagons Limited is guided by the belief that long-term business growth is inseparable from inclusive community development. A Board-approved CSR policy shapes initiatives that strengthen social well-being, expand access to opportunity, and deliver measurable impact across communities connected to the Company’s operations.

Sports Development and Youth Empowerment

A sustained focus is placed on nurturing grassroots talent through organised sports. Continuous support has been extended to East Bengal Club, one of India’s most iconic sporting institutions, with the objective of promoting structured training, professional coaching, and long-term athlete development.

This association has enabled scholarships for deserving players, access to nutrition and modern training equipment, and clear pathways for youth from diverse socio-economic backgrounds to pursue sports at a professional level, contributing meaningfully to the sporting ecosystem of West Bengal.

Healthcare and Preventive Care

Healthcare represents a key pillar of the Company’s CSR framework. Support extended to Maitreyi Charitable Trust contributes to improving access to medical care for underprivileged children and families. Initiatives supported include medical assistance, preventive healthcare programmes, health awareness efforts, and mobile dispensaries that serve underserved communities.

Community Development and Social Inclusion

CSR initiatives at Jupiter Wagons are designed with a long-term perspective, prioritising education, healthcare, sports, and social inclusion. Continued engagement with institutions such as Anamika Kala Sangam and Padatik contributes to the promotion of theatre, contemporary dance, and artistic innovation in Kolkata, while creating platforms for emerging talent. Such initiatives reflect a focus on sustaining Bengal’s cultural heritage and strengthening creative ecosystems that support social well-being and artistic excellence. An emphasis on consistent engagement, rather than one-time interventions, enables the creation of shared value for communities and stakeholders alike.

Governance and Commitment

All CSR initiatives are overseen by a dedicated CSR Committee of the Board and are implemented in accordance with Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013. During FY25, Jupiter Wagons exceeded its statutory CSR obligation, reinforcing its commitment to responsible growth and transparent reporting.
